If youre going to continue making music for kids which when i have kids will never allow my children to listen to because I would much rather hear people who actually sing the song sing it.Minecraft Google Classroom Fortnite YouTube Snapchat TikTok Roblox YouTube Kids Zoom Messenger Kids Parental Controls More. For Stitches by Shawn Mendes, they said Run until I cant breathe instead of Bleed, or whatever.
For My house they just showed the kids running around their studio and bragging. Now, I have a 10 year old daughter and a 2 year old son and frankly, they arent that impressed by it either. Honestly for my sake on long drives Im glad they dont like it But really, Kidz Bop is targeted towards.well.kids, my oldest is 10 and Im fairly certain the music caters to children as old as preteens, but one of her aunts bought her one of the CDs (I think theyre on 40 or something now) two years ago for her birthday and she listened to it maybe three or four times before completely tiring out of it. And personally, I really dont get the point of all the hype Kidz Bop gets. For those of you who have never listened to it, go to Youtube and look up some of the music; all it is, is the most popular songs of the moment, re-sung by kids instead of the actual artists. On some songs they change the lyrics, and admittedly the rewrites are very poor. The latest one Ive heard was a Katy Perry song where they replaced the phrase we got matching tattoos with, you bought me a balloon or something along those lines. Apparently some parents would rather their children listen to Kidz Bop as opposed to the real songs because of the content, which frankly I dont understand. Whenever my daughter finds music she likes (my son is still a bit too young to decide his music tastes) I usually preview it, and if there is swearing, sexual innuendo, etc. She doesnt notice the difference and the content is appropriate. The rewritten lyrics are terrible, clean versions of real music generally please everyone, parents and kids alike, and Im sure your older kids will be much happier as well--its almost like a transition into real music for them. While we are not a Kidz Bops family, Id rate the content on for kids 5 and up. If you want your kids to like music, then actually let them listen to the real stuff. As long as they know not to repeat any swear words, then I really think its alright to listen to regular music. Some of the songs it changes the lyrics to dont even need to be changed, theyre perfectly appropriate. May I also point out that some songs didnt need to be Kid-friendly-ized, like The Fox, for example Why did they do that Also some songs dont just get the lyrics changed; the whole SONG gets changed, from the key its written in, to the order of the verses and choruses. And many songs just sound better in their original key and order. MAYBE you can use Kidz Bop as a last resort if you cant find a clean version of a song elsewhere, but I think thats the only good you can get from that. There is plenty of music that is appropriate that they could use and instead they choose to use the song not appropriate. I understand some parents dont mind their kids listening to that kind of music. But i know from experience mentoring in an elementary school and half the kids wouldnt be allowed to listen to these songs and everyone acts like its okay because a child is singing it.
